He was an honest, quiet man and a good friend. He battled Crohn’s disease and cirrhosis of the liver. He underwent a successful liver transplant. However, a month later, he was scheduled to undergo an ERCP procedure, during which medical negligence occurred, and he lost consciousness. He was in a vegetative state for about 11 months and then passed away. When he lost consciousness, I was eight months pregnant.
